The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum is located in McMinnville, Oregon. The museum is home to Howard Hughes’ famous Spruce Goose as well as a huge collection of historic aircraft and artifacts. The museum has an IMAX theater, which shows educational and 3D films. The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum also offers special educational group tours specifically tailored for the age group of the participants. Group tours may include a presentation on the history of aviation, a creative glider building project, the basics of aerodynamics and the four forces of flight, an aviation scavenger hunt, and Flight Lab simulators. Many of the museum’s volunteers are veterans of WWII, Korea, or Vietnam, and with prior notification school groups can interview a veteran who has first hand experience in their area of interest.
