Map of the Hood River Fruit Loop

The Hood River Fruit Loop is a 35-mile scenic drive through orchards, forests and farmlands located about an hour drive east of Portland. Along the way, stop at some of the 34 attractions listed on the Fruit Loop Map. Stops include farms, wineries, shops and more. The Fruit Loop is a great place to go for U-Pick and farm fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Fruit Loop is fun for the entire family. Children will enjoy petting zoos, farm animals, children’s activities and more at many of the stops. However, it is recommended that you leave your dogs home, as many of the farms have dogs of their own.

Because the fruit and vegetables on the Fruit Loop are farm fresh, they are only available when in season. To determine when to plan your visit, take a look at the Harvest Season Guide. There are also monthly events planned at many of the stops, so be sure to check the Hood River events calendar as well to find out what is happening around the time of your visit. While there are events for much of the year, October is a particularly good month to bring the family because of all of the great fall and Halloween events planned for each year.

If you have extra time when you finish with your Fruit Loop tour, Hood River has restaurants, shops and other attractions to visit in town. Also consider stopping at Multnomah Falls and exploring the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway en route to or from Hood River.
