The Merry Kitchen offers cooking classes and classes in organic gardening. Cooking classes at the Merry Kitchen include Superbowl Snacks, Fun with Cereal, Homemade Bento, Valentine’s Treats, the Stuffed Italian, Pizza Party, Wrap it up, Slumber Party Treats, Come get a slice of pie, Indian Cuisine and Charlotte’s Web of Treats. Julie Merry, the teacher at the Merry Kitchen is a graduate of the Western Culinary Institute and has taught cooking to children in the Portland Public schools as well as at youth camps. The Merry Kitchen also offers cooking parties where children choose what they want to cook including the birthday cake.
