Thinking of purchasing your own fireworks and putting on a show? Fireworks can get expensive, but there are quite a few legal fireworks you can purchase all around Oregon. However, remember legal does not necessarily mean safe. Follow all safety precautions on the fireworks and be extra careful with kids around fireworks. Remember that fireworks are a real fire hazard, so stick to the legal ones, be careful where you light them, and always have a hose and bucket of water nearby just in case. Far too many homes burn down each Fourth of July because of people who were careless or used illegal fireworks. If the weather is particularly dry around the holiday, you might want to reconsider lighting up the sky yourself since it just takes a spark to start a fire.
