Taking children to Portland International Airport

I just returned home from Alex’s second trip to Reno to see his grandparents. He is five months old and has already been on an airplane four times. With family eager to see him regularly in Reno, I am certain that he will travel there a lot more.

A Visit to the Oregon Zoo, January 29, 2010

The zoo is a magical place to visit. Where else can you see so many different and wonderful animals in such a short time? I have yet to meet a child who does not love the zoo, and adults are also entertained by watching the animals in their habitats. Friday afternoon my husband, my four-month-old son, and I met up with my cousin and her one-year-old daughter, and we all went to the Oregon Zoo. This would be my son Alex’s first visit to the zoo.

This is the holidays, it is cold outside- and it is time to give thanks for what we have. We also need to be sure to give to those who are in need or are less fortunate than us. This is why we are hoping to get some help with canned food donations for those in need. If you bring in a canned food donation- Inflatable Kingdom will give you a free spin art activity during any open play session occurring on or before 12/31/09!

Portland Day Trips: Indoor Playgrounds

Planning a special all-day trip to a Portland indoor playground is easy with a little preparation. Call ahead to your favorite playground to find out if outside food and drinks are permitted. If so, pack a picnic lunch and plenty of water and sports drinks to keep those little monkeys climbing and playing all day through.

Tigard is full of history, which makes it a prime place to find things to do. Remember playing the Oregon Trail game in school? That was by far the best game invented. Ever. The actual Oregon Trail ran just North of Tigard, which means that the trail had a huge influence on the population and settlement of Tigard.

In the Oregon Trail game, there were a few key things, which needed to happen in order to complete the game. Certain historical places had to be visited, treasures had to be found and traded, and tasks had to be completed as teams, like fording a river or hunting. The things to do in Tigard are no different, there are historical places to visit, treasures to find and great places to hang out with friends during fun activities.
